Acupuncture has a cumulative effect and treatments are best applied in a series of 6-12 individual sessions at a frequency of 1-2 times per week.
-
Herbal medicine seeks to improve the body’s underlying pattern and addresses chief complaints. Herbal supplements are often prescribed with acupuncture to address the patterns of disharmony, or root cause.
-
Manual therapy, Cupping and Bodywork techniques are utilized to support the acupuncture treatment. These additional techniques address specific areas like shoulder, neck, back etc., for improving range of motion and reducing pain.

How does acupuncture work?
Acupuncture points are specific areas on the body, just beyond the surface of the skin. These points have high concentrations of nerve endings, mast cells, lymphatic vessels and capillaries. Acupuncture points are selected to help to regulate the various feedback loops in the body which turn on homeostasis; the body’s automatic ability to re-set, repair and heal.
Electro Acupuncture and why you need it
EA blends Traditional Chinese Medicine concepts with electrical stimulation to turn on your body’s own internal pharmacy of neuropeptides and neurotransmitters. By applying microcurrents through fine acupuncture needles, EA targets both local tissue and central nervous system pathways to restore balance, reduce pain and accelerate healing. Learn more.
Better Digestion with acupuncture
Dysbiosis—an imbalance of gut bacteria, doesn’t just cause bloating or irregularity. It can impact your mood, hormones, immune system and even skin. Acupuncture supports the body’s ability to heal from within, creating the foundation needed for long-term gut repair.
