Manual Therapy & Bodywork

What It Is and How It Supports Healing

Manual therapy—often called bodywork—is hands-on treatment designed to help the body release tension, restore movement, and heal more efficiently. It works with muscles, fascia, joints, nerves, and internal organs to improve circulation, reduce pain, and support the nervous system’s ability to regulate and recover.

My background is rooted in clinical bodywork, including visceral manipulation, Chi Nei Tsang, and orthopedic-focused techniques. Over a 14-year career, I’ve worked with celebrities, elite athletes, and patients in integrative medical settings—particularly those recovering from auto accidents, sports related injuries and personal injuries. That experience shapes a practical, results-driven approach that’s always tailored to the individual.

What Bodywork Does

Bodywork helps the body move out of protective holding patterns caused by stress, injury, or repetitive strain. By improving tissue mobility and circulation, it can:

  • Reduce pain and inflammation

  • Improve range of motion and posture

  • Calm an overactive nervous system

  • Support faster recovery after injury

  • Improve digestion and detoxification through abdominal work

How Bodywork Is Included in Your Session

Each session is customized based on your needs and goals:

  • 70-minute sessions include 20 minutes of applied bodywork

  • 90-minute sessions include 30 minutes of applied bodywork

Techniques may include hip stretches, shoulder range-of-motion work, trigger point therapy, Shiatsu, abdominal massage and cupping. These tools are selected thoughtfully—nothing is routine or one-size-fits-all.

A Personalized, Integrative Approach

Bodywork is not just about muscles—it’s about how the whole system communicates. Whether you’re addressing chronic pain, injury recovery, stress, or restricted movement, the goal is to restore ease and function so the body can heal more fully.

Each session meets you where you are that day, combining skilled touch with clinical insight to support lasting recovery and resilience.
